The Position

JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER
We're looking for a creative, self-motivated, and well-organized Interior Designer to assist the firm's senior staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and collaborate closely with them in the planning of their interior design goals.
  • Supervise measurements, space planning, and quotations on the job site.
  • Create all building detail drawings in 3D computerized perspective drawings.
  • Prepare a construction specification, design documentation, and material list.
  • Create presentations for the design intent, colour scheme, and material board.
  • Manage client, contractor, and consultant communications, as well as all project-related communications.
  • Assist the team of designers in achieving the company's goals and objectives, as well as ensuring that renovation projects and operations are run efficiently
Requirements
  • Applicants who are recent graduates or are just starting out in their careers are encouraged to apply.
  • Must have a National ITE Certificate/Higher National ITE Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a similar discipline.
  • Autocad, Sketch-Up, 3D Studio Max, V-ray, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office suite are all skills you'll need, as well as the ability to learn new software and systems.
  • A team player capable of designing and preparing complete sets of drawings, from design intent to construction details.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, multitasking and prioritizing skills, as well as good follow-up and tracking abilities
  • Proactive and willing to go above and beyond to complete tasks; versatile and appreciates a challenge
